One step ahead

I got a good head start on the weekend. In anticipation of a dreary, rainy Saturday I started a pot of beans which will be ready by morning and will last until Sunday afternoon. We already have tortillas so all I will have to do is make cornbread whenever we need it. Another reason I did this is so Gabby will have her favorite crappy weather food (comfort food) ready on the stove anytime she wants it because I may go to work for awhile Saturday. Then again I may not. The point is I don't have to bust out the pots and pans until Sunday evening either way. Even then I may just que a chicken on the pit forget about the kitchen.
